About           Teaching           Publications

Here's my most current Vita . I am an Assistant Research Professor (regular-rank) in the Mathematics Department at Duke Unversity, as well as the Associate Director for Undergraduate Research of the Information Initiative at Duke (iiD). I also work one day a week as a Senior Mathematician for Geometric Data Analytics (GDA) , a local research, development, and consulting company.

The aim of my research is to develop algebraic and topological tools for application in a wide variety of scientific areas, particularly the analysis of complex and high-dimensional datasets, and to find useful connections between computational topology, machine learning, and statistics.

At iiD, I direct several programs that aim to foster data-driven, intersdisciplinary undergraduate research and graduate student curricular engagement across the university. These programs are called Data+ and Data Expeditions . Follow the links to learn more and email me to get involved!
